I’m a latent fashionista. I like pink too. I just found that out.
Lately, my Pinterest boards have turned to fashion. First, a timid, secret board called Closet. After I stuffed that board to the max with fashion favorites I un-secreted my board and made three more Closets, so now I have – Winter Closet, Spring Closet, Summer Closet, and yes, you guessed it, Fall Closet.
But I didn’t stop there, oh no, I made color Palettes next. 1, 2, and 3. Original, I know!
None of this happened by accident. I happened upon a book titled: The Curated Closet, where a full blown fashionista with a frugal and determined flair walked me through all this. From now on I will shop with a purpose AND with my color palettes – 1, 2, and 3.
But how did I happen upon a book titled The Curated Closet in the first place? I mean, really, how does someone who has blundered through the fashion scene for manifold years just happen upon such a thing?
Why it was simple, really. I was daydreaming about Action Van II – the one we don’t own yet. Whenever we do get an Action Van II, where will I put my clothes while adventuring here and there? After a bit of research I learned that most people pack their clothes into one of the upper storage cabinets built into most class B vans. Nice to know!
Well then, I’d better become a minimalist of sorts and put together a wardrobe that has interchangeable pieces that all color coordinate. Do you see where I’m going with this? So, a few quick searches on Pinterest and then the next thing you know I find The Curated Closet on Kindle. Perfect!
And, pink, yes, I do like it. I have been in denial of this for years. I blamed all the pink in my past wardrobes on my mother who always, always bought me pink clothing on Christmas and birthdays. But then I got to thinking – Maybe she bought it because she knew I liked it. Maybe that’s why I buy pink on more than a few occasions. Okay, okay, so I like it. Especially very pale pink or very vivid magenta. Therefore pink is one of my Main colors and is located on Palette1 on my Pinterest board.
