It’s a Wrap

I am finally finished with the wrap that I’ve been working on. I used a free pattern offered by Lion Brand. It’s called a Full Moon Wrap. I suppose it is called this because the colors they used are lights and shadows. I chose different colors and a chunky weight of yarn, their Hometown line of yarn, to make my wrap. This made the wrap thick and heavy, just the thing for a person living in the north where it can get down to thirty below zero during the most bitter part of winter.

The pattern called for eight different colors of yarn but the page on the Lion Brand site showed only seven colors. Thus I didn’t read the pattern first and I purchased only seven colors. I chose two bright colors and five earth tones for my wrap. I might try this pattern again using a lighter weight yarn so that I could have a wrap to wear in fall or spring.

I was pleased with how the wrap turned out. I think I’m going to buy a shawl pin so that I can pin it closed. Now I just have to wait for winter to arrive and given where I live, that could be any day now.

Thanks goes to my daughter for modeling the wrap for me!
